Nomination Period Filing Extension

(Ventura) – Ventura County Clerk Recorder/Registrar of Voters Mark Lunn announced the extension of the nomination period to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 for the following offices that are scheduled to be voted upon at the November 8, 2016 Presidential General Election.

Ojai Unified School District (2)
Santa Paula Unified School District (5)
Simi Valley Unified School District (3)
Ventura Unified School District (2)
Hueneme School District (2)
Mesa Union School District (3)
Pleasant Valley School District (2)
Rio School District (2)
Somis Union School District (3)

Special Districts:
Montalvo Community Services District (4)
Fillmore-Piru Memorial District (3)
Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council (2)
Blanchard/Santa Paula Public Library District (3)
Ventura County Resource Conservation District (4)

The extension is only applicable to candidates other than the incumbent. Nomination documents for candidates interested in the offices, with the exception of City offices, may be obtained at the Ventura County Elections Division, Hall of Administration, Lower Plaza, 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura. Nomination documents for City offices must be obtained and filed with the City Clerk.
