Ventura County Elections Division Offers Helpful Tips for November 8 Presidential Election

(Ventura) – The Ventura County Elections Division anticipates a high voter turnout for the Presidential General Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Voters are encouraged to vote at their assigned polling place location during the non-peak hours of 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to avoid expected long lines. Because some polling place locations change, voters are asked to confirm their assigned polling place prior to Election Day by checking their sample ballot, visiting http://venturavote.org and selecting “Where Is My Polling Place?”, or by phone at (805) 654-2664.

Voters are also encouraged to review and mark their selections on their sample ballot ahead of time to allow for an expedited voting experience. Voters can also vote prior to Election Day at the Ventura County Elections Division Vote Center located at the Ventura County Government Center, Hall of Administration, Lower Plaza, 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Vote Center will also be open Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Vote By Mail ballots must be returned or postmarked by November 8, 2016. A 24-hour ballot drop off box is located in front of the Hall of Administration at the Government Center for convenience. Vote By Mail ballots may also be dropped off at any of the following locations during their normal business hours through Election Day:
